Letter 41 — Washington D C, June the 18, 1865
“I will wright when I Get to Columbas”
Dear Mother It is with plesher that I take this oppertunety to wright you a few lines to let you no that I am well at present I wold a wright suner but I was a waghting till I found out whether we wer a gont to get to come home under this call or not we will be mustard out a bout thursday and then we will start for Columbas the next morning and we will get to Columbaz a bout sunday and we will have to stay there till we get our pay I think that I will be at home bey the last of next week if every thing gose right I dont no yet whether I will go to hampton be fore I come home or not but if the Companey all stays to gether till we go to Springfield I expect that I will go there but if I do I will not stay ther more than a day or too wel I must close yours truley
