Letter 19 — Jan 3, 1870
“I sold my hog, I got twenty dollars for it”
I seat myself to let you know that I am well at present hoping when these few lines reach you they will find you the same. There is a big snow here now. They have a protracted meeting at Moorefield church. I am going to school now. Mr. Cesody is teaching. I sold my hog, I got twenty dollars for it. Dove is over with Mrs Marsh, he went over there last Friday. She got that basket. I was over at Uncle Tom's two weeks ago last Sunday. They was all well. We did not have much of a Christmas or New Years. Well I must bring letter to a close for this time so good bye. Write soon
