Letter 29 April 5, 1872

“Ellie is well I believe or was the last I heard of her.”

I seat myself to let you know that I am well at present hoping when these few lines reach you that they may find you the same. Grandma Casteen is dead. She was buried the fourteenth of March. She had the lung fever. I do not know what Aunty is going. Mary Willoughby is better and the baby. Mrs Cadwallader is going to have a sale. She is going to live with Leida, I believe Leida and her man is up there on a visit. Ellie is well I believe or was the last I heard of her. Annie and Aaron has played out. Well I must bring my letter to a close for this time. Leide sends her love to you and says she would like to see you. So good bye Write soon
