Letter 8 March 19, 1866

“I would like for you to cime up before you went so far away”

I take my pen in hand to let you know that I am well at present and hope when these few lines reach you they will find you all the same. I have been at school today, the school is out next Thursday. It has been very rainy here for about a week. The measles are coming about here again, it may be my turn to have them this time. I got the pictures you sent me, I liked them very much. I would like for you to cime up before you went so far away, you must come up as soon as you can. I would like to see you so well if I could but cannot for awhile. Well I must bring my letter to a close for this time. Please excuse my bad scribling and all mistakes. So no more for this time. So good bye. Write soon.
