“I think that Grant is a gont to give Richman the best trile it ever had”

Dear Mother I take my seat this afternoon to let you no that we are well and hope when these few lines comes to hand it may find you well well I think the Armey will soon move I heard today that the male will be stoped for sixteay days I dont no for sirten that it is so but I think that it is well if you don get eny more letters you needent to be on easy for our divison I think will stay hear to gard the railrode this summer for our divison commander is crippeld so he cant wride a horse back and that is the rezen that we will get to stay hear I think that Grant is a gont to give Richman the best trile it ever had and I think it is time we wer taken Richman if we want to close this revelen and if we get Richman this sumer I think the war will soon close well I heard the 44 regiment was a coming to this armey I am glad of it for they say there such good shots and if they come hear they will get a chans to trey them self for our cavelry General is a fighter and if they get under him they will see sum hard times well Mother when you go don to Felix Wises to get our cotes Charley Ruffin sent a vest in the box and he wanted you to get it and give it to his Mother well I must close for this time well wright as son as you get this I dont think the male will be stoped un till the armey moves I thot I wold tell you that the male wold b stoped fo that if the armey should move son so that you wold not be oneasey if I did not right eny more letters for a while no more at present and I will remane yors un till death
