Letter 17 — Camp Near Culpeper Va, Aprile the 29, 1864

Dear Muther i seat my self this morning to anser yore kind and welcom letter we are both well at present and hope when these few lines cum to hand they may find you enjoying the same blesing well Muther every thing looks as if there wod be a move soon in the armey of the potomick I think they will make a moove on Richmand I think that the 3 divison of the sixth corps will lay here to gard Suplyes and the ralroad I dont think that the 110 reg will have much fiting to doo this sumer well muther I have nuthing ove importens to rite this time you wanted to now if you hadnt betor get that money of J Stevens if you cnat get a long with out it you may get it but I calculated to by a hors with it when I get home that will be about next fall we will send you all the money we can spair a solger cant save verey much money when they onley get thirteen dolers a month well I must bring my scribling to a close give my love to all enquiring frend and save a good porton for yore selvs if you seay Rebeca Sturgon ell her that it is a bout tim she was ansering my leter yore Sun Mathew Overpack rite soon
