Called Home. Found out that we can only get an "auto cabin" so we decided on a motel in Williams and went to a TravLodge in Tucumcari and reserved it.

Long driving day across Texas and into New Mexico. Three gas stops — 12.0, 14.3, and 7.0 gallons. Hit a Dairy Queen for $1.18, lunch for $4.69, and supper for $2.80. Picked up $1.36 in groceries. Motel in Tucumcari — $16.48.
