Letter 37 — North Hampton Ohio, Sunday Apr 2th, 1865
“Well Math the sun shines so warm to day that it makes me feel lazy”
Dear Cousin Mathew I seat my sefl this pleasent sabbath morning to answer your kind and welcome letter I was glad to here from you and learn tha you was well. We are all well at present and hope when these few lines come to hand will find you enjoying the same blessing. Well Math the sun shines so warm to day that it makes me feel lazy. It has been very wet here the men has not done much plowing yet. We had high waters here last week Well Cousin we tried how shugar makeing was this year. this year was not quite as good time for shugar as last year was. but I think that we all get pretty well sweetend an wase. Well Math you dont know how glad we all would be to see you. we all think it so long time since you left. Well Math Pete Zinn was married two weeks ago last thursday to Elzina Smith. Uncle Dan is a going to move to North Hampton and let Pete and Aaron farm the place out here. Uncle Dan bought Louis Huggles property and is agoing to move there. the boys did not boll Dave or Pete when they was married Dave and Pete thought shure they would get a belling but the boys thought they would slight and it was to mudy to bell Pete. Well Cousin I must bring my scribling to a close and help to get dinner as I want to go to singing this after noon. the rest of the family joins in sending there love to you. so no more this time.
